Crittenton Services for Children and Families
Area of Expertise: Empathy & Storytelling
For more than a decade Martha has served in various public sector communications roles within government, education and nonprofit. Among the highlights of her public service experience include working as a project manager in the Digital Communications Division of the Office of the Secretary for the US Department of Health and Human Services, and serving as Adjunct Journalism Faculty for the Riverside Community College District.
Today, Martha is a Communications Director and Senior Advisor to the CEO of a nationally accredited child welfare agency in Southern California that provides mental health services to more than 2,000 children and families per year. She is a proud UCR alumnus and earned a Bachelors in Sociology and Business and a Masters in Journalism from Columbia University.
When not serving on the board of the UCR Chicano/Latino Alumni Association and the UCR Extension Design Thinking Advisory Board, you can find her enjoying a good Broadway show as she is a self-proclaimed musical theater nerd who is fluent in show tunes.
