Jonathan “Jon” Miller is currently a Program Manager with Ellumen, a small IT Company based in Silver Spring, MD. Until he retired in June 2019, Jon worked for the Veterans Health Administration (VHA) in Washington DC as their Supply Chain and Logistics Operations Director, an $8B annual undertaking to support 160+ VA Medical Centers. Jon led VHA’s Supply Chain Transformation, the implementation of VHA’s Medical/Surgical Prime Vendor contract, and numerous other innovative programs in the Department of Veterans Affairs before he left Federal service.
Prior to moving to Washington DC, Jon was the VA Desert Pacific Healthcare Network’s Chief Logistics Officer in Long Beach, CA. He was responsible for supporting five VA Medical Centers in Southern California and Las Vegas. His accomplishments include providing outfitting guidance for the activation of a new VA hospital system in Las Vegas that featured a Medical Center and four primary care clinics. Jon came to the VA from the Department of Defense. He has a robust aviation logistics and supply chain background. He served as the Deputy Assistant Chief of Staff for Aviation Logistics at Marine Corps Forces Pacific. In this role he led 25 people in overseeing aviation maintenance, supply, avionics, ordnance and contingent planning for 550 Marine Corps aircraft. Finally, Jon is a retired Navy Supply Corps Commander. Prior active duty roles include Supply Officer of a combined Naval Air Station and Construction Battalion Center, service aboard three ships including an aircraft carrier where he led over 500 people, and Naval Construction Regiment Supply Officer during Operation Desert Shield. Jon, his wife Laura, their grandson Johnathan and their poodles Ziggy and Zinnia now live in Mission Viejo and look forward to the end of the pandemic. |
