Area of Expertise: Your Customers - Their Journey, To Market - The New Business Plan Cynthia is the Vice President of Operations at The Governance Institute (TGI). She has over 30 years of finance, business administration, and healthcare education experience, and is an expert in inter-professional collaborative healthcare continuing education. Prior to her current role at TGI, she served as and the Controller/Chief Financial Officer and the Vice President of the Medical Leadership Institute, a service of The Governance Institute. Cynthia was instrumental in developing and implementing processes and programs that through a rigorous set of criteria, demonstrated to the Joint Accreditation Committee that TGI is a leading provider of interprofessional collaborative continuing education for the healthcare team. Joint Accreditation establishes standards for education providers who deliver interdisciplinary CE supporting collaborative care, which has been identified as a necessary component to the improvement of healthcare. As a Joint Accreditation provider, TGI educational events offer continued education from the combined governing bodies of the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME), the Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education (ACPE), and the American Nurses Credentialing Center’s Accreditation Program (ANCC). TGI is one of the first 36 organizations in the world that have received this distinction from the three global leaders in accreditation of healthcare continuing education. Cynthia is a Certified Public Accountant, Certified Residential Care for the Elderly Administrator (RCFE) and holds a Bachelor of Science in business administration. Prior to working for The Governance Institute, her experience included business administration, controller/CFO, finance, tax, audit, and public accounting for multiple businesses, high net worth financial offices, foundations, and charitable trusts. |
