Area of Expertise: Data Science & Design Thinking, Ideation & Innovation, To Market - The New Business Plan, The Design Thinking Organization Christy is the Senior Director of Partners in Care Foundation's Community Wellness Department. She is responsible for directing all grant activities related to the organization's statewide Fall Prevention initiative funded by the Administration for Community Living, as well as the organization’s contract with Cedars Sinai Medical Network to measure social isolation among older adults who participate in community-based fall prevention programs. In addition, she also manages the activities of the California Healthier Living Coalition, a statewide coalition of over 50 organizations focused on implementing evidence-based programs across the state. Finally, she is also a member of the National Recreation and Parks Association Advisory Panel, which focuses on community-based programming in parks and recreation sites across the United States. As Senior Director she is responsible for writing grant proposals to obtain funding to implement, measure, and scale evidence-based health promotion programs, submitting semi-annual/annual reports, presenting outcomes to funders and colleagues at national conferences, supervising staff, training workshop facilitators and monitoring to maintain fidelity, and collecting/analyzing data. Christy serves on Partners in Care Foundation's Quality Assurance and Evidence-Review Committees, having graduated from Kaiser Permanente's Improvement Advisor Institute. In her role as a Senior Director, she also serves as a Lead Trainer for Maine Health's Matter of Balance program, training Master Trainers from around the nation and Coaches here in California. She is also certified as a Tai Chi for Arthritis Instructor. Christy holds a Master's of Science in Social Work from Columbia University and a Bachelor's degree in Psychology from Pepperdine University. |
