Christopher M. Seiler is an Associate Chief (AC) with the US Border Patrol, Director of Plans and Programs at the AMOC in Riverside, CA. He supports senior-level mission priorities by planning, organizing, and coordinating activities in support of DHS, CBP, and AMO strategic, operational, tactical, and crisis action planning efforts.
Chief Seiler entered on duty with the US Border Patrol on Sep 17, 2001 in CA. While there he was a member of the Border Patrol Tactical Unit where he served as a Team Leader on various missions, responsible for operational planning, high-risk warrants, civil rights disturbances, VIP protection, and a number of overseas details, to include Iraq.
In 2008 he promoted to supervisor. Here he was responsible for the surveillance, patrolling, and apprehension of all persons or contraband attempting to enter the coastal area of the US illegally.
In 2011 AC Seiler promoted with CBP International Affairs in Kabul, Afghanistan. Here he identified deficiencies and gaps in border operations and provided subject matter expertise to Afghan partners.
May 2013, he promoted to Ops Officer at Border Patrol HQ where he was the Adjutant for the Chief of Operations. In 2013 he promoted to Assistant Chief as the National manager for the Off-Road Vehicle Program and Horse Patrol. He also spearheaded a feasibility study to implement body worn cameras in CBP.
Chief Seiler promoted to South Texas where he served as the Patrol Agent in Charge of Special Operations and Deputy of both McAllen and Rio Grande City Stations, the epicenter of immigration and narcotics smuggling.
AC Seiler earned his B.A. in Criminal Justice and has a M.A. Certificate from Texas A & M in International Affairs and is completing his M.A. at Norwich University. AC Seiler is also a graduate of the Joint Advanced Warfighting School with a M.A. in Joint Campaign Planning and Strategy. He is an avid runner and has completed marathons and ultra-marathons throughout the world.
