Area of Expertise: Your Customers - Their Journey, Empathy & Storytelling Brenda is a passionate and collaborative learning professional with experience leading teams and programs. She is a creative, detail-oriented leader who coaches and mentors team members while driving to produce amazing results. She is known for her expertise in facilitation and teaching, enhancing career development of team members, challenging thinking to enhance innovation, appreciating and motivating others, and delivering excellent Guest service. Brenda attended college at San Diego State University and received a Bachelors degree in elementary education with a minor in sociology. She went on to graduate school at Western Illinois University where she received a Masters degree in College Student Personnel. She spent the next 12 years working in student affairs/residence life and housing at 7 different universities. She was the Director of Housing at Cal Poly Pomona before she accepted a position with The Walt Disney Company. In 2006, she joined The Walt Disney Company at the Disneyland Resort as they were re-imagining the Disney College Program. She was the Education Manager and led the program and taught classes for four years. Since then, she has worked as a Casting Services Recruiter and a Training Manager. She was the Training Manager for the three Hotels of the Disneyland Resort. She taught Cast Members how to deliver and exceed Guest service expectations while creating magical moments to add value to the Guest experience. She has also had the opportunity to be a guest speaker for the Disney Institute, a host for media events, and to teach Personal Branding, Interview Skills, and Resume Writing Skills to Cast Members throughout the Disneyland Resort. In July 2019, she was offered an exciting opportunity to create and lead the training department as the Director of Training & Leadership Development for Miguel’s Restaurants in Corona, California. Brenda is married and has a daughter in 4th grade. |
