Area of Expertise: Data Science & Design Thinking, Your Customers - Their Journey With 25 years of experience in market research management and analysis, Dr. Kantak believes that a key reason for business success is a direct link between research suppliers and upper management. This link, in her view, comes from conducting consumer research with a view to ensuring customer satisfaction and responsiveness to customer needs. Prior to starting Applied Research – West in August, 1994, Dr. Kantak was the Marketing Research Manager for Mitsubishi Electronics America, Inc., of Cypress, California, where she managed, directed and supervised a staff of marketing research and direct mail specialists. Before that, she was Manager of Market Research & Information for Pioneer Electronics, Market Research Analyst for American Marketing Services, Inc., and Research Analyst for the Kaiser Permanente Medical Care Program. Dr. Kantak has conducted and coordinated both primary and secondary research, analyzed market trends, and developed predictive models based on consumer buying behaviors relative to consumer attitudinal and demographic profiles. She is familiar with and has used a wide range of advanced statistical techniques. Dr. Kantak received her undergraduate degree with honors in Psychology from Bangalore University, India; her master’s degrees in Special Education from Southern Connecticut State College; and doctorate in Applied Social Psychology from the Claremont Graduate University. |
